Alison is deeply passionate about improving the lives of those in her community; she has worked and volunteered with everything from women’s shelters to suicide prevention programs for over 20 years. She has a special interest in working with first responders living with PTSD, which she treats with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and a hands-on approach of in-vivo exposure or imaginary exposure therapy. Alison holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Behavioural Sciences and has specialized training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy which includes CBT, MBCT and DBT.  I am also trained in reconsolidation therapy also known as the Brunet method that heals emotional memory. Alison loves the work she does and believes that you have the power to change your life – you just need to know how.
